An odd couple was featured in the 1992 edition of Harpers Magazine. One was a sports phenomenon called Michael Jordan. The other was a young Indonesian worker called Sadisah.
Sadisah, the article revealed, earned 14 cents an hour making Nike running shoes. After working six days a week, 10 hours a day for a month, he earned enough money to buy a single Nike shoe at its US retail price. The article also claimed that Sadisah would have to work for more than 44,000 years to earn as much as Jordan had recouped from his Nike endorsement deal.

Economists and the media may debate whether we are in a true “recession” or not, but that doesn’t change the fact that sales are down and consumers are pulling back. I’m certainly not excited about this, but I’m not traumatized either. The economy is full of ups and downs and we obviously can’t have the ups without surviving a couple of the downs. Yaro Starak has just published an audio interview with one of his former students (and now a coach) from BlogMastermind Alborz Fallah.
Alborz is behind a car blog here in Australia - a blog that has enabled him to grow his blog to a point where it’s been valued at over $5 million - have a partnership with Yahoo, take on investors and more. It’s pretty impressive since he only started blogging in 2006!

My “To Do” list had grown to 4 pages at work yesterday, and more requests were coming in by the minute. New technologies to integrate, new features we need to sell, bugs with the application, implementations, vendors, clients… I was out of control.
To top it off, I was on call last night to respond to any alerts from our system. Friends were calling me and getting upset that I wasn’t answering the phone. Sigh. I also found out that a side project I had worked on since last November was taking a different direction.

About a year and a half ago I went to Jeremy Schoemaker’s house for a few days (aka Shoemoney, aka Shoe) because I heard rumors that the Shoemoney team was making tons of money from the affiliate marketing/arbitrage space. I wanted to learn first hand on how I could do the same.
During my short stay at the Shoemoney house, Shoe gave me access to his teams internal tools, and by the time I came back I had created a additional $1,000.00 per day in P…

Gmail’s archive feature is likely the least understood button found on Gmail’s navigation. What exactly does archive mean?
Archive does not mean “backup” or some other form off off-site storage. It also doesn’t mean that it files things away in hard to reach areas.

While the majority of Western medicine remains staunchly in the hands of the medical professional community, new tools designed to empower patients are causing real shifts in this power dynamic. Physicians are being increasingly challenged by patient self-diagnosis via websites like Wikipedia and WebMD. And on an even more personal level, researchers are now providing ways for us to see and ‘read’ our individual genomes.

Cyber Clean is a Swiss made (first of it’s kind?) cleaning slime that can get at hidden dirt no matter where it hides. Roll the goop over your keyboard or any other device and it will slink in and pick up any bit of filth and debris. It cleans and kills germs while binding with dirt due to its special viscosity and elasticity. It can be used repeatedly until it gets filled with junk and will change color to let you know it’s through. When your done, just throw it away - it’s also biodegradable.
