I kept thinking, just because one Mom might have failed, doesn’t mean other Moms can’t “do it all” with great success….

Here are seven cool things to check out this weekend that won’t cost you a dime:

So I use Friday afternoon to prepare uninterrupted work and then Sunday night to plan for the week.

by: Ilya Vedrashko The obvious future of in-store experience: you find something you like, reach into your pocket for a small device, scan the barcode, and the device tells you whether and were the same product is available for a lower price. Brick-and-mortar stores become little more than showrooms for merchandise bought elsewhere.

If you want to enrage customers, just sit idle while they rage against a broken system at your organization.
Someone shipped me a package from Indiana more than two weeks ago. UPS shipped it to my old address, mis-sorted it, shipped it back to Indiana, mis-sorted it before returning it, shipped it back to NY, mis-sorted it, shipped it back to Indiana, mis-sorted it, shipped it back to NY (I’m not making this up and I’m not exaggerating) and yes, it’s now on it’s way back to Indiana. Maybe.

An article in NY Times about a Belgian inventor Paul Otlet who in 1930s created a proto-Web that “relied on a patchwork of analog technologies like index cards and telegraph machines”:”In 1934, Otlet sketched out plans for a global network of computers (or “electric telescopes,” as he called them) that would allow people to search and browse through millions of interlinked documents, images, audio and video files. He described how people would use the devices to send messages to one another, share files and even congregate in online social networks. He called the whole thing a “réseau,” which might be translated as “network” — or arguably, “web.”"…
