Ahh. My favorite target “The Pussycat Dolls.” They have embraced their core audience (tweens) and are now going after them directly:
Eleven female contestants — all about age 20 and competing for places in Girlicious, the Pussycat Dolls spinoff group the show will found — were to perform to an audience of tween girls, the age group that made Miley Cyrus so popular that she was an Oscar presenter this year.

Help me stop smoking? I’m off the smokes for over a month now. I had quit over a year ago for about 3 years, but last year I got back on them due to some family stress (excuses, I know). I was only having a few a day, but nonetheless, it was still smoking. So now I’m back off them and I want to stay off.
But I’m now hitting some type of wall where the cravings are coming on very strong. Watch the video below to help me stop smoking. It’s your fault if I don’t quit. Heh. Got a story about how you quit smoking that can help me? Email me the link and I’ll post the video here.

I’m no researcher, but I always wonder about factors like how questions are phrased, how much respondents answer questions like they think they are supposed to (especially teens), and even whether you may have caught a teen on a good day (I’m happy!) vs. a bad day (life sucks). Because of all this, I take a lot of market research with a big grain of salt, especially if it’s for others in the marketing community, since the goal is ultimately to show there is a market for specific products. With that preamble, the folks at O…

I was hoping the audio and video to our panel on The Future of Corporate Blogging at SXSW would have been up by now because I wanted to give my thoughts on the panel. I think the panel itself was great (other than my hiccup during the introductions), and I was very lucky to make my panel debut with three people that are old pros at this in K…

To introduce micro machines to a new audience, miniature roads and parking spots were spray painted on side walks, pedestrian areas and parking lots. So it indeed appears that is a small world after all. The creators of this guerrilla marketing campaign though assured folks that the paint is only temporary. …
