Eytan Seidman, Program Management Director over core relevance for Microsoft Live Search, is leaving Microsoft (and Seattle) after six and a half years and heading to New York to work on a travel-related start up with his brother. I talked to him about life at Microsoft, the birth of Live Search, and singing karaoke in New Orleans.

And don’t miss the video tribute to Eytan at the end of the article!

From Search Engine Land:

Peep Insights: Yes We Can - Politics Meets Pop Culture?

Peep Insights
I can’t say I was surprised when CNN reported that visits to Barack Obama’s website had increased drastically, by 90% in the last month, and that the rise was due primarily to first-time visitors. Many are already touting Obama as the candidate of today’s youth and comparisons to JFK abound. Of course, youth’s reliance on the digital domain for news, political and beyond, is well known.

Lynx launches new fragrance with the help of Keeley Hazell

Page three girl Keeley Hazell helped launch a new fragrance for Lynx in London today, and judging by the pictures alone I gather that:
1) Whatever Keeley is getting paid is not nearly enough for standing outside in London in February wearing nothing but a chocolate colored bikini. Astronauts have less risks involved in their jobs.

Roundup Thursday for the Week of 2/3/08

Posted by rebeccaSorry again for the delay. I have a nagging cold that prevents me from going to bed at any time other than what I like to call Rand o’clock (~3:00 am or later; yesterday I was so desperate to get some rest that I watched Silent Hill on Encore Mystery in hopes that it would bore me to sleep), and due to lack of zzz’s I was Zombie Becca today. After a nap and a bike ride, however, I felt revived enough to bring you this week’s Roundup Thursday. Enjoy.
