The Problem With The Trends (Business)

Picture 29.pngAs some of you know, PSFK began as a website project where Simon King and I wrote about the interesting ideas we were noticing around the world. It was something we did for the love of it. And one day a company phoned us up (Anheuser Busch) and asked us for our advice. That really started PSFK LLC - the trends and innovation company. As we have developed our offering for P…

Super Bowl — This Time the Game was Better than the Ads

super-bowl-ad-screaming-squirrel.JPG
Each year I watch the Super Bowl to catch the ads, but this year I have to admit, I enjoyed the game more than the ads.

The best one was the screaming animals by Bridgestone, but even that one seemed over done and predictable.  Maybe I’m just getting cynical.

Greenwashing at NY Fashion Week?

On Thursday evening, as an unofficial kick-off to NY Fashion Week, Earth Pledge staged their FutureFashion show, which showcased one-off pieces made from sustainable and organic fabrics. The FutureFashion show was one of the hottest tickets in town, with the industry’s biggest-name designers participating, the most-sought-after models walking the runway, the front row packed with big-name celebs and magazine editors. The clothes were gorgeous, and it’s got everyone talking. The FutureFashion initiative, like most things done by Earth Pledge, is genuine, thought-provoking, and world-changing.

You Make Me Sick - Viral Video Response

Interactive agency Digital Axle sent out pitches to a number of bloggers this morning promoting a “viral video” that I wanted to share. Mind you, I’m not going to share the actual video because it’s sick, racist and violent. “Man makes racist insults, gets asphyxiated and beaten to death by young Asian girls and their parents while another man obliviously chats on his Bluetooth headset nearby.” If you’re into that sort of thing you can find it on your own.

Amazon.com Launched "paper click adds"

Amazon paper click adds invitation

I just received an invitation to check out Amazon.com’s new “paper click ads” which sounds really revolutionary.

Paper click ads sounds like you somehow click on paper, causing something to be added to the paper. This must be in beta.
