Flagship Hedge Fund To Close

The Elgin Corporate Credit Fund, the flagship fund of London credit manager, is being shut down. The flagship fund’s assets plummeted from about $3 billion to $300 million since the start of 2008.According to a Dow Jones Report, Elgin Capital partners Mike Clancy and Guillaume Bonpun are planning a final valuation of the portfolio and will then return the remaining assets to investors. The closure leaves Elgin with a $2.5 billion collateralized loan obligation business and a mixture of hedge fund products and managed accounts focusing on event-driven and special-situations investments, Dow Jones said. …
