Western Europe: ECRI Future Inflation Gauge-Europe

Inflation pressures continued to increase in March, according to the ECRI future inflation gauge. The indicator rose to 110.2 in March, up from 109.6 and remains at a seven-and-a-half year high. The U.K.’s inflation gauge climbed further in March, rising to 113.2 and remains at a cyclical high. Inflation pressures are holding back the ECB and the BoE from lowering their main base rates until the second half of this year….
